The aftermath of the Iran elections was the top Twittertrend for 2009.
Among all the keywords, hashtags, and phrases that proliferatedthroughout the year, the Iranian election surfaced repeatedly amongTwitter users.
The terms iranelection, Iran and Tehran were all in the top-21of Trending Topics, and iranelection finished in a close secondbehind the regular weekly favorite musicmonday.
Iranelection lead in the news events category top-10 list,followed by Swine Flu at No. 2 and Gaza – referring to theGaza/Israeli war – at No. 3
The most twittered person was Michael Jackson, followed by UKsinging sensation Susan “I dreamed a dream” Boyle and American Idolrunner-up Adam Lambert.
Interestingly enough, Chuck Norris was in the top-10 at No. 6.Tiger Woods made it at number 8 and is a late entry.
Among movies, shock of all shocks, Harry Potter out-TwitteredNew Moon.
American Idol and Glee lead the top twittered TV shows.
